Hello everyone, we hope you’re as excited as we are about the swim being back this year!

Please read the information below before places before you purcahse and entry!

When the swim places go live;

- full distance places will be on sale

- ⁠Half swim please use the waitlist option

- Half swim will potentially go on sale at a later date (if it goes ahead this year)

This year we are working with Sportiva to help us run the entry process and manage the overall wimmer experience, in the build up to the event day. There will be two new options available when you purchase your swim places:

1. Klarna instalments payment option

2. Optional Insurance (against injury/life events)

OPTIONAL INSURANCE (against injury/life events)

When you purchase your swimming place you will have option to insure your place in case you cannot take part, for reasons such as injury/life events).

Be aware that in the event the swim is cancelled (on safety grounds) the insurance does not apply. We would offer partial refunds (once all costs are covered) as per our Terms & Conditions - see our website in the comments for T&Cs

The insurance option can only be purchased at the same time you pay for your swim place. The insurance cannot be purchased at a later date.

Please make sure you’ve considered whether this is an option you want to use before you complete your registration.

The Brownsea Island Swim is RLSS Poole Lifeguard's main fund raising event and our primary source of funding. 

As a registered charity / non profit club, we would really appreciate it if you could support RLSS Poole Lifeguard, who organise the Brownsea Swim. We have been providing invaluable training in Lifesaving, First Aid and Resuscitation skills along with core life skills to our members and since 1975.  Any donations received will enable us to continue, as a community club, teaching vital lifesaving skills to your 'Lifeguards' of the future. 

We are, an entirely voluntary club whose aim is to provide safety cover at a number of open water swimming events (including Brownsea Swim), sailing and canoeing events as well as safety cover at sponsored swims, swimming galas and other similar events throughout the year. The Club operates an inshore rescue boat; named ‘Legacy!’ and a low powered craft named ‘Apollo’; both based at Sandbanks. In addition, we have a large number of paddle craft..

Members are encouraged to participate in our safety cover activities and to take RLSS lifesaving and lifeguard qualifications. Our members are trained to be capable of taking individual rescue action or work as a team when the occasion demands.
