APPROX. Timeline for 2024 Swim

It is worth mentioning that each swimmer wishing to enter, has to have a unique email address.
Unfortunately our systems do not allow for multiple swimmers using one email address - sorry

January

• 27th Jan 2024 @ 18:00hrs - 

  • Round 1  - Priority Entry Places go live (157 places:  for to all that were on the start list of the cancelled 2023 swim)

  • Reserved Partnership Places go live. 

February

• 10th Feb 2024 @ 18:00hrs  

  • Round 2 - Remaining Places go live for General Availability   

• 29th Feb 2024  

• Wait list places confirmed if applicable.

• By End of February: Swim categories confirmed with all swimmers.

May

• 23rd Jun 2024

  • One month before swim (approximately): Swim information pack emailed to swimmers.

  • No Changes Permitted after the Swim Information pack has been sent to swimmers

June

 Day of swim  (note: this is an approximate timeline)

•  07:15hrs Main registration on Poole Quay opens.

• 07:55hrs 1st Ferry departs Poole Quay - Safety Brief takes place on the Ferry Trip.

• 08:00hrs Main registration on Poole Quay closes.

• 08:05hrs 2nd Ferry departs Poole Quay - Safety Brief takes place on the Ferry Trip.

• 08:20hrs Registration OPENS for swimmers staying ON ISLAND .

• 08:40hrs Registration CLOSES for swimmers staying ON ISLAND 

• 09:00hrs Swimmers briefing on the Island.

• 09:20hrs Swimmers to start entering races beach and into water.

• 09:40hrs Swim start.

• 12:00hrs   Presentations – Cafe – Brownsea Island 

• 12:40hrs Swim Cut off 

Yellow Ferry Service back to Poole Quay

10:30hrs 11:30hrs 12:30hrs 14:00hrs 15:00hrs :16:00hrs

No Ferry at 13:00hrs or 13:30hrs as it their lunch time 

Note1 -  that these times will be repeated for the fallback date, should it be required.

Note2 - All swim hats and other swimmer ID kit is handed to swimmers at registration desk - we do not send anything by post.
